I’m a native Russian qualified translator of English and Spanish with 12+ years of experience in different fields of translation. I started my career in 2012 — my last year of study for a degree with honors in Translation and Linguistics. Before shifting to a full-time freelancing, I built up my skills and expertise in various companies, including translation agencies and language-related services. However, it didn’t last long until I started to look for additional projects as I preferred to have control over my working hours and rates. Such control allows me to strictly follow the deadlines and deliver high-quality works.
In 2014, I got my first serious project as an interpreter for a foreign electrical engineering contractor at Metro Cash & Carry construction site in Russia. For me, it was a first-hand experience in such a massive endeavour. After a short break, I moved and stayed in Egypt for a long year to work as an interpreter for an aircraft repair plant. This was the beginning of my still lasting experience in aerospace that I eagerly enjoy and master year after year travelling around the globe and communicating with people from splendid spots of our world. After that, I worked with various companies in different fields including civil construction sites like the biggest indoor waterpark in Russia, as well as numerous factories and production line installations. It helped me to dramatically extend my technical vocabulary and expertise.
At the same time, I spent around half of my time translating manuals, legal documents, guidelines, and countless other materials. I’ve always played on the two fields — interpreting and translating written texts. These two skills complemented each other polishing interpretation with technical and high-grade gloss and making written translations up-to-date and not overly bookish.
At the moment, it has brought me to the point of top-level expertise and mastery in many areas to achieve any goal and collaborate for mutual success. I feel my skills can help more startupers and established companies get their business to the new level and dramatically extend their audience, influence, or collaboration with international partners.
